In addition to our beautiful Monzambano in the vicinity of our B&B there are many countries to visit; The beautiful Sirmione, the pearl of Lake Garda, a village rich in history and activities that can be done as a couple or as a family. A visit to the Scaligero Castle and the Grottoes of Catullus are a Must for a Day Trip. The small village of Borghetto sul Mincio with its mills and the tiny village of Castellaro Lagusello are another unmissable stop. Both reported as two of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Peschiera del Garda, a former military village with its fortifications. Fort Ardietti always in Peschiera del Garda. Moving a few kilometers you can easily reach Lazise and Bardolino by car, famous for their beauty, the restaurants on the port and the beautiful walks. Desenzano del Garda, famous for its night MOVIDA, offers discos and pubs for a younger clientele. On the Brescia side of the lake we also recommend a visit to the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera. Going north by car or with the numerous ferries you can also visit the famous Limone sul Garda and Tremosine which has a beautiful terrace overlooking Lake Garda. Going up the Strada della Forra you can pass by car in a Natural Canyon formed in thousands of years of work on the stream: a truly beautiful experience.
For a historical cultural visit to 30 minutes by car you can also visit Verona and Mantua. Verona absolutely deserves a day to be fully enjoyed. The Roman-era Arena is a small, perfectly preserved Colosseum. To take a stroll in the Middle Ages, a visit to Castelvecchio is absolutely recommended. For those interested, the Opera season in the Arena, under the stars, is an unmissable experience. Many shows and exhibitions / fairs take place in Verona. For the most romantic and lovers of literature, Juliet’s House (Romeo & Juliet) is a quick visit that stays in the heart. Mantua is another historic city that deserves a visit, for a simple walk in the center and perhaps a boat trip on its two lakes. The morainic hills close to Lake Garda represent a melting pot of various provinces and different territories that merge. Going up a little towards the north of the lake you can also reach the Bardolino area and moving towards Verona and Valpolicella, how can we not mention the Amarone, Ripasso and classic Valpolicella wines. THE CYCLING TRACK ON THE MINCIO PESCHIERA MANTOVA
43 km long, it is one of the most popular cycle paths in Northern Italy. Along the Mincio river it offers a natural landscape of enviable beauty. Suitable for everyone because the cycle path passes right under our B&B. Even the less experienced can enjoy it through our Bike rental and take a relaxed trip along the river. Among other things, there are many refreshment points along the Mincio cycle path. Also by bike, the area of the Morainic hills with its typical villages is a starting point for trips into nature.
